The iconic Star Ferry / Favourite image no. 1
The Star Ferry has been around in Hong Kong for over 130 years and is absolutely an iconic form of public transport in Hong Kong.
A few years ago the Ferry ran on 4 routes and now it has two, when the new subway station opens at the Convention Centre in Wanchai in 2021 I am guessing that Ferry route from TST, Kowloon to Wanchai will close leaving just one route but at least it will be the fabulous route from TST, Kowloon to Central (Business District) on Hong Kong Island and vice versa.
Everybody who comes to Hong Kong should ride on the Star Ferry at least once.

You have not had an experience until you have been on the Star Ferry on a rainy day in Hong Kong.
When it rains here it really rains but as you can see from the image, the ferry just continues chugging slowly across Hong Kong Harbour (or Victoria Harbour as some people still like to call it) - it really is a fabulous experience.

With a lot of land reclamation ongoing on Hong Kong Island and the relocation of the Star Ferry to Central Piers on the new (ish) harbour waterfront in 2006, the journey from Central to TST, Kowloon is now less than 10 minutes which is a shame but has ensured the survival of the ferry service because of increased frequency.
I remember in 1972 when we first arrived in Hong Kong the journey was around 20 minutes because there was a more sea traffic in the harbour and the distance between the 2 ferry terminals was much longer.
... and I still wonder how the Ferry has lasted this long with those incredibly cheap fares and I still feel sad the the local Hong Konger's prefer to use the subway as it is much faster.

Oh my golly gosh, the simply amazing Pagani Zonda Absolute - this is a custom made car and is rumoured to be the only one of it's kind in the world and it is in Hong Kong!... oh... and yes, this is my picture, talk about being in the right place at the right time.
